Jakarta – Lingkaran Survei Indonesia (LSI) Denny JA has released the latest survey results, which one of them notes the level of public satisfaction with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reaching 80.8%.
The percentage of public satisfaction with Jokowi’s performance continues to increase, namely 78.6% (early November 2023); 79.1% (late November 2023); 82.2% (early December 2023); 78.2% (late December 2023); 81.9% (early January 2024); and 80.8% (late January 2024).
LSI Denny JA’s senior researcher, Adjie Al Faraby, explained in a press release on Tuesday (30/1), the high level of satisfaction with President Jokowi’s performance is also one of the reasons why the electability of the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka, has increased.
“The third reason why the electability of Prabowo-Gibran is rising and heading towards a single round, is because those who are satisfied with Jokowi’s performance are increasingly associated with Prabowo-Gibran,” said Adjie.
Furthermore, respondents who are satisfied with Jokowi’s performance tend to switch their votes to the Prabowo-Gibran candidate pair.
“Those who are satisfied with Pak Jokowi’s performance are increasingly switching to the Prabowo-Gibran pair. If we look at the data in early January 2024, it was at 50.5%, now it has risen to 55.5%. If we compare it to the end of December, it was 47.7% and now it has risen to 50.5%, and further to 55.5%,” Adjie explained.
“So, previously (votes) were divided for the Ganjar Mahfud pair, but as the election approaches, more and more voters are switching to vote for the Prabowo-Gibran pair,” he concluded.
The same survey results also revealed the level of electability of the three pairs of presidential-vice presidential candidates. The results, candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka, stood firm in first position with 50.7%.
Meanwhile, candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan – Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) with a vote acquisition of 22%, and behind them there are candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo – Mahfud MD with a percentage of 19.7%.
LSI Denny JA’s survey with the theme “On the Verge of a Single Round of Presidential Elections Only” was conducted in the period of January 16-26, 2024. The number of respondents was 1,200 people with a sampling method of multi-stage random sampling and a margin of error of +/- 2.9%.
