MEDAN, Waspada.co.id – PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) received a visit from 40 students from Sekolah Inspirasi Bangsa, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Province. This activity is part of the curriculum with the theme “Healthy Internet for Millennial Generation” and getting to know the service system of XL Axiata.
Taking place at the XL Center, Jalan Diponegoro No 5, Medan, on Wednesday (7/2). The students received an explanation from the leaders of the XL Axiata West Region, including the Regional Service Excellence of XL Axiata Sumut – Aceh area, Cut Maha Ratu, Corporate Communication of XL Axiata West Region, Aldi Desmet, and Facility Management, Suprayetno. Present at this visit, the Chairman of the Sekolah Inspirasi Bangsa Education Foundation, Rahmah Nur Rizki, S.Psi, M.Psi, the Director of Sekolah Inspirasi Bangsa, Jumari, SE, and the Headmaster of Aksi Remaja School, Juriah, S.Pd.I.
Group Head of XL Axiata West Region, Desy Sari Dewi, said that XL Axiata continues to innovate to provide the best service to the community. We are very pleased to be one of the business institutions that are the location of the visit for the students from Sekolah Inspirasi Bangsa, Aceh Tamiang.
“We are also happy to share our knowledge with them about how we provide telecommunications and data services to the people of Indonesia. Hopefully, the exposure that we provide is beneficial and can inspire them,” she said.
Desy added that XL Axiata itself has a strong commitment to supporting the quality of education for the young generation of Indonesia. XL Axiata has a program for students who carry out Field Work Practice (PKL) and also for students, namely the Free Campus Student Internship program, which is followed by more than 100 students from various universities.
“Healthy Internet is an effort to ensure that children access the internet properly. Currently, children sometimes get content that is not appropriate, or even negative, such as pornography, gambling, and others. Here, the students are educated to be wiser in using the internet and social media,” she explained.
The visit was designed interactively, allowing students to ask questions and discuss with the speakers who have a lot of experience. On that occasion, the router facilities from XL Axiata were also presented, complete with a 20GB data package for each month for free for 1 year through the GDK (Quota Donation Movement) program to support teaching and learning activities.
After listening to the presentations from the speakers, the students had the opportunity to visit the customer service unit at the XL Center Medan to see and ask about the activities carried out there.
The Chairman of the Sekolah Inspirasi Bangsa Education Foundation, Rahmah Nur Rizki, S.Psi, M.Psi, expressed, “This is a very important and inspiring visit and material. With the theme “Healthy Internet for the Millennial Generation”.
“Our hope is for the students to be technology-savvy, so they need to be educated on how to use the internet healthily but still enjoy it with excitement by the Gen-Z. They can also directly see the customer service at the XL Center. The XL Axiata team provided education and the enthusiasm of our students was also well received. Thank you XL Axiata,” she explained.
