President Prabowo Subianto from Indonesia received a warm welcome from Indonesian citizens upon his arrival in New Delhi, India. One of the excited well-wishers was Nadine Ardiani Chairunisa, an Indonesian student studying Marketing Communication at Amity University, who eagerly awaited Prabowo’s arrival since 5pm. Accompanied by fellow student Demas Fadel Anggara, they described the experience as both thrilling and nerve-wracking due to some delays. Other Indonesian individuals present, such as Rajendra, Marvell, and Adyatama, expressed their gratitude for Prabowo’s gesture of shaking hands with them upon arrival. They shared their hopes for a successful working visit in India and a promising future under Prabowo’s leadership.
Prabowo’s trip to India not only symbolizes a new phase in bilateral relations but also commemorates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between Indonesia and India. Before departing from Jakarta, Prabowo expressed his pride in being invited as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations, considering it a great honor for Indonesia. He emphasized the involvement of Indonesian TNI troops in the event, highlighting the strong bond between the two nations. The visit also includes scheduled meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss enhancing cooperation on various strategic issues.
