In a video conference focusing on the inauguration of renewable energy projects and oil production expansion in East Java, Prabowo highlighted Indonesia’s efficiency in energy generation and reduction of costly logistics chains. Energy independence is vital for Indonesia’s vision of national sovereignty, with a strategy that includes the launch of 55 new renewable energy projects, including geothermal power plants, to provide clean and reliable energy throughout the archipelago.
Prabowo commended the collaborative efforts of various ministries, regulatory bodies, and energy companies like Medco Energi and ExxonMobil in supporting Indonesia’s energy transformation. While recognizing the country’s significant oil and gas reserves, he underscored the importance of prioritizing renewable energy, particularly solar power, to ensure energy self-sufficiency for communities nationwide.
