President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025, was warmly welcomed by Indonesian elementary school children in a Jeddah hotel lobby. The children greeted the President with enthusiasm, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” What started as a formal reception quickly turned into a joyous and emotional gathering as President Prabowo interacted with the children, smiling and taking photos with them. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, proudly introduced himself as the child of Indonesian Embassy staff in Jeddah. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo shared a simple yet heartfelt message with the children, encouraging them to focus on their studies.
The encounter was not only touching for the children but also for members of the Indonesian community in Jeddah, including Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Hanif expressed gratitude for the President’s visit and shared his hopes for Indonesia’s future. President Prabowo was accompanied by several high-ranking Indonesian officials during the visit, strengthening the bond with the Indonesian community abroad. Beyond being a diplomatic mission, the visit was a significant moment that made a lasting impact on the young generation in Saudi Arabia.
