The Free Health Check in Schools program (CKG Sekolah) was officially launched on Monday, August 4, 2025, in 12 schools across Indonesia. The initiative, a part of President Prabowo Subianto’s Fast Results for the Best Outcomes program, aims to cultivate a golden generation by providing health assessments to students. Fritz Edward Siregar, Deputy for Information Coordination and Communication Evaluation at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), highlighted the importance of CKG Sekolah in preparing the youth for the future during the launch event at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 8 in South Jakarta.
The government’s long-term vision for building a healthy and thriving population includes expanding the CKG program from community health centers to schools nationwide. Parents were encouraged by Presidential Chief of Staff Lieutenant General (Ret.) Anto Mukti Putranto to actively involve their children in the health checks taking place at schools. The initiative at MIN 8 South Jakarta involved 617 students undergoing various health screenings performed by medical personnel from local Community Health Centers.
The health assessments cover a range of areas such as nutritional status, blood pressure, dental check-ups, and mental health evaluations. CKG was first launched on February 10, 2025, as part of the government’s efforts to shift the healthcare system focus towards preventive and promotive care. The goal is to reach 60 million beneficiaries by the end of 2025 and eventually extend the program to the entire Indonesian population.
CKG services are available through various healthcare facilities and digitally integrated platforms like the SATUSEHAT Mobile app and the Ministry of Health’s official WhatsApp channel. Over 15 million individuals have already benefitted from the program as of July 30, 2025, with a recent expansion targeting over 53 million students in schools and madrasahs across the country. The program continues to make strides in promoting the health and well-being of the Indonesian population.
