President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has appointed General Tandyo Budi as Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) alongside the installation of six new Regional Military Command (Kodam) commanders, 20 brigade commanders, and 100 Territorial Development Battalions. In recognition of outstanding integrity, Prabowo also presented the Bintang Sakti Medal of Honor to deserving soldiers during this appointment ceremony. He highlighted the importance of leaders leading from the front and being the first line of protection for their troops in hazardous situations. Emphasizing the role of military leaders in setting examples, Prabowo urged them to care for and train their soldiers like their own children. He reiterated the identity and mission of the TNI as a people’s army born to serve and defend the people, ready to make sacrifices for the nation.
