Farah Eldiba, a young woman from Purwakarta, West Java, saw her dream come true as she was among the newly commissioned officers inaugurated by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday. After four years of hard work at the Indonesian Police Academy, Farah was overwhelmed with pride and emotion as she expressed her gratitude for the support she received during her training. She thanked her mentors, the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and especially her mother for her prayers, support, and encouragement that helped her reach this milestone.
During the ceremony on the lawn of the Merdeka Palace, Farah spoke of her deep appreciation for the President, the instructors, and the entire Indonesian National Police institution. However, it was the heartfelt moment when she acknowledged the role her mother played in her journey to becoming a police officer that brought tears to many eyes. Her mother, visibly emotional, expressed her pride, joy, and disbelief at seeing her daughter in uniform and hoped that Farah would become a dignified, strong, and responsible officer.
As Farah was officially commissioned as a member of the National Police, her mother wiped away tears, expressing her overwhelming emotions and gratitude towards her daughter. She whispered words of thanks to the President for commissioning Farah and expressed her hope that her daughter’s dedication and perseverance would lead her to a successful career in law enforcement. In a tearful moment, she thanked her child for never giving up on her dreams.
