He also highlighted the challenges with accessing subsidized fertilizer, hampered by bureaucratic hurdles that prevent farmers from receiving the support they need. Furthermore, President Prabowo addressed the issue of middlemen manipulating prices to exploit farmers in times of financial need, pushing them towards high-interest loan sharks. The launch of Merah Putih Village Cooperatives aims to disrupt this cycle of exploitation and empower farmers to break free from the long-standing challenges they face. President Prabowo called for bold and decisive action to transform the agricultural sector and create a more equitable system for farmers in Indonesia.
